Mabel was the smallest ever addition to The Manufactory. It must be a really Big Thing when you are so tiny to suddenly find yourself in a new home with three big furry sisters to contend with, let alone the prospect of finding your way around and locating the food dish. Mabelina coped admirably. The Weigh In below, shows just how rapidly little piggies put on weight! They grow up so quickly these days!
Mabel proved herself to be an expert at wrapping herself up in blankets. Quite often it was only the hint of an orange tuft or a rotund bulge that gave away her presence. She was a little Tomboy at first and tended to keep her personality a closely guarded secret. She was also a little shy but soon became great pals with Wilma, who is also a Texel. The pair of them were zooming around the place together, running rings around their big sisters. Mabel has really begun to blossom of late. She shares a keen interest in ‘Girlie’ type things with Wilma. They are forever exchanging beauty tips as well as the latest hair ribbons. It is easy to imagine them spending hours in their bedroom deciding on just the right dress and makeup for a Birthday Party. They are also both very sensitive and eat with a deliberate delicacy too! Mabel always appears to be a ‘little girl’ and loves being petted, polished and coiffeured.
When Mary arrived at the Manufactory, they became firm friends and allies. They make a very boisterous and exceptionally beautiful pair!

A pretty orange Texel arrived on Sunday 13th April 2003 to be welcomed into the Manufactory by Mildred, Mavis and Wilma.
