It is a little known fact that Piggies quite like water. Ours are regularly introduced to the pleasures of bath time, with hair and skin products from Gorgeous Guineas, and take all manner of rubber ducks and toy submarines to play with. It is sometimes a real job to persuade Mavis to get out at all. She has perfected the Front Crawl and the Piggy Paddle but needs to work on her Backstroke. Fortunately she has lost interest in her games of ‘Drown the Mabel’ due to Mabel’s innate floatability. Indeed, the biggest bath time headache is trying to submerge Mabel and Wilma, our Texels. Their fuzzy fur gives them tremendous buoyancy, which gives them the appearance of Hovercrafts in fancy dress. It is only the eventual combination of heavy weights and the liberal application of Bubble Bath that does the trick!

All this bath time frivolity has inspired us to capture some scenes with a Nautical theme - we have just launched our NEW boat - ‘Daffodil’, the bath is running and the sou’wester’s are airing. Captain Mavis introduces Mabel Mittens to the oars and describes the necessary action required to propel the boat forward . . . . Mabel isn’t interested - she has spotted the ‘Isle of Salad’ on the horizon (and no, we don’t mean the salad aisle in the supermarket)!
