There are other Piggy proclivities you may wish to note: A gentle scritching behind the ears or under the chin first thing in the morning while breakfast is being prepared is likely to be much appreciated and may provoke extensive bouts of yawning, stretching and general luxuriating. A reassuring cuddle as you take your Piggy out to the day run is most rewarding for both parties, and a check over for any unwanted lumps or bumps is recommended. Periodical trimming of toe nails - all 14 per Piggy, comprises essential routine maintenance (be very careful though!). An occasional bath followed by a thorough blow drying will keep bad fur days at bay. As will regular grooming, being careful not to pull your Piggy’s fur. Bedtime stories around the salad bowl are swapped to complete an active day. The Manufactory Team are particularly fond of ‘Winnie The Piglet’, ‘Man and Super Piggy’, ‘How green was my salad?’ and ‘The Piggy of the Baskervilles’.
Piggies like receiving lots of love and attention and respond well to being treated in a manner befitting their station. The rewards from keeping a happy, smiley Piggy or two are enormous.

Now, The Manufactory Philosophy: I am somewhat taken aback by just how many times we are asked just what is The Mildred Mittens Manufactory all about? If you are lucky enough to have a family of Piggies in your household, then you will fully understand and further explanation is not required. However, for those poor lost souls who lack the solace that Piggies bring, we will try and share with you what we are ‘about’.

Picture if you will meeting Mavis. She will greet you with a sunny smile, or if she is having a bad food day, a grumpy scowl. It doesn’t matter. Either way she will put a smile on your face! That’s what Piggies do best, make you smile! Now say you were lucky enough to pick Mabel up and sit her upon your knee. A more furry, gorgeous bundle of delictiousness you will never encounter. She will be happy to sit there or to be gently stroked and itched, particularly behind her ears. How mutually rewarding for Mabel and you. The trust and love freely given by a Piggy is truly awesome! In fact even just to behold that furry, fuzzy little face, with those soft suede ear flaps, big round eyes, that quizzical look and then that pudding shaped cuddly body, and those feet with their sweet set of baby toes . . . . what a wonder! A Piggy exudes happiness, goodness, loveliness, and eventually all this gets under your skin, seeps into your bones, heart and fur. And yet it is so much, much more.

And therein lies the secret of the ‘The Manufactory Philosophy’. The magical and inspired world that opens to you if you take the time to let it in, is boundless. It touches every aspect of your life and illuminates your every activity. Adopt a Piggy mind set and not only will you see magic everywhere, the magic itself will seek you out.
