We have taken the basic technique and elevated the rugs into an art form - they really do look just as good on the wall as on the floor! So good in fact that we have been encouraged to exhibit the rugs in local galleries and give talks to local community groups. Rug making as with many other country crafts, runs the risk of extinction. We believe that by demonstrating just how wonderful these rugs can be, we can encourage a new generation to participate and experience for themselves the thrill of creating something magical from nothing.
Our designs are often inspired by the world around us - the seasons, nature and the weather, and not least - a little piggy magic! The possibilities are endless and limited only by imagination and access to fabric. The most effective rugs have been produced using a wide variety of fabric textures and colours. We are not afraid to experiment, you’ll be astounded by the results!

We have been making traditional Rag Rugs for well over 15 years. Maybe you can remember your Grandma making them during the long winter evenings! They are also known as ‘Peg’, ‘Snip’ or ‘Memory’ Rugs. Our magical creations are constructed from many 1000’s of ‘snips’ of fabric, painstakingly cut from old clothes, blankets, bedding and other available fabrics. The short strips are then ‘Bodged’ by paw into a strong hessian backing to create a wonderfully colourful and durable rug. Originally these rugs would have been produced to make thrifty use of worn clothing.
